KeaObaka Mahuma

Head: Enterprise and Supply Chain Development (Africa), ABSA


KeaObaka Mahuma is responsible for executing the strategic agenda for Enterprise and Supply Chain Development across the African countries where Barclays has a footprint.

He joined CIB Africa in March 2011 as Head of Structured Transactions Finance and was then appointed Head of CIB Africa Strategic Support Services in July 2013, where he also serves as an Exco member.

Prior to joining CIB Africa, he held a number of positions including being the founder of Grandstone Group (supporting the growth of small and medium businesses), CFO at Cornastone Technology Holdings, and a Corporate Finance Associate at both JP Morgan and Brait Merchant Bank.

He has authored and published two books including the “Tax Handbook For Small Business Owners” – designed to assist SMEs to handle their tax affairs correctly.

KeaObaka is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters’ Degree In Tax, B.Com Honours (Accounting) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting, all from the University of Cape Town.
